Dental
Implants
If you have missing teeth, dental implants will
change your life. Whether you are missing one or
all of your teeth, we can give you new teeth in
an hour! Implants can improve your appearance and
making chewing easier. They can also help prevent
your other teeth from moving out of position. Implants
can also be used to anchor dentures into place,
making them more comfortable and secure.
Dental implants consist of metal posts that act
as artificial tooth roots and replacement teeth
that are attached to the posts. Because we want
to make your experience as convenient as possible,
we offer you 'one-stop shopping' for your dental
implants. Unlike many other dental practices,
we perform the entire procedure right in our office.
Not only does this mean that you don't have to
be referred out, but it also means that you can
walk into the office with no teeth and leave with
a beautiful new smile.
Even if you think you do not have enough bone,
you may still be a candidate for dental implants.
Your bone can easily be grown back to its original
size and shape. Bone reconstruction is a common,
safe and predictable procedure. In fact, Dr. Ramsey
Amin performs this procedure on a daily basis.
Rebuilding bone and placement of dental implants
helps to prevent the familiar look of an elderly
collapsed face.
Dr. Amin has chosen
to make dental implants his primary focus. He
is formally trained in implant dentistry (as opposed
to learning the procedure through weekend clinics)
and performs all phases of the procedure himself.

Sleep
Dentistry
Are you nervous about having dental treatment
done? Do you need to have multiple procedures
performed? Would you prefer to sleep through your
next dental appointment? If you answered yes to
any of these questions, sleep dentistry may be
an ideal choice for you.
A contemporary method of anesthesia, sleep dentistry
is very safe and effective. You can sleep through
your entire procedure and wake up feeling refreshed,
not groggy (the way you would if you were under
general anesthesia). You can have a healthy, beautiful
new smile without remembering a thing about your
appointment!
So how does sleep dentistry work? You are given
a precisely controlled amount of medication through
an IV. A computer controls the amount of anesthesia
you receive. Some of the medications we use would
last only one to three minutes if given as a single
injection, but because the IV provides a steady
stream of medication, you stay asleep throughout
your treatment. When your dental work is complete,
we turn off the medication and after just a few
minutes you wake up.
Dr. Amin is one of the most experienced sleep
dentists in California. He has been formally trained
in the technique through residency. In fact, Dr.
Amin is a sedation examiner for the state of California,
which means that he observes other dentists' technique
and passes or fails their certification.
In addition to sleep dentistry, we offer other
forms of anesthesia, including pills to be taken
orally. Our main priority is your comfort. We
want all of our patients to be free from anxiety,
stress, and fear throughout their appointment.
If you think that sleep dentistry may be right
for you, please contact
our office to learn more about it!
Cosmetics
There are so many benefits to having a smile you
love. The increased confidence a beautiful smile
gives you can help you in both social and professional
settings. Cosmetic dentistry makes it easier to
look and feel your best. We emphasize the natural
replacement of teeth. When you have your cosmetic
work done with us, we try to make your restorations
look as if they were your own original teeth.
Like cosmetics for the face, cosmetic dentistry
works best when you notice the beautiful smile
rather than the cosmetic work itself.
What makes our cosmetic dentistry look so natural?
We put our extensive training in cosmetic dentistry
to work for you, using only the best materials.
All of our cases are sent to our right-hand lab,
which creates restorations for Hollywood stars
in addition to our patients. Unlike some restorations,
the veneers and crowns that our lab creates have
multiple shades of color in them -- just like
natural teeth.

Inlays
and Onlays
Inlays and onlays are special fillings placed
in the back teeth. They are a more conservative
alternative to cavity removal and treatment than
crowns. Inlays fit precisely into the damaged
areas of back teeth, providing strength and support
while minimizing the amount of tooth structure
that needs to be removed. Onlays can be used when
a tooth is too damaged to support an inlay. Onlays
fit over the entire chewing surface of the decayed
tooth. Like inlays, porcelain onlays look natural
and restore health and strength to back teeth.
Both preserve more of the tooth structure than
crowns.
Both of our doctors have inlays and onlays in
their own mouths and can attest to the advantages
associated with this type of filling. If we find
that you have a cavity, we will be sure to use
inlays and onlays whenever possible. It's another
way that we can put our advanced knowledge of
dentistry to work for you.

Comprehensive
General Dentistry
We offer comprehensive general dentistry with
a focus on the long-term. We take every aspect
of your dental health into consideration before
making treatment recommendations. From your TMJ
(temporomandibular joint) to your bite to your
dental habits, your mouth is unique, and it deserves
individualized care. We are committed to looking
out for your long-term dental health rather than
just doing 'patch-ups' as necessary. Our emphasis
is always on prevention and proactive care. By
stopping problems before they start, we can help
save you a significant amount of time and discomfort.
Patient education is a top priority for us. We
want you to make informed decisions about your
dental health and to know that options exist.
Just because your father had dentures doesn't
mean you have to lose your teeth, too. Taking
a comprehensive approach and getting regular care
can help you maintain good dental health throughout
your lifetime.
